Our Story
From Nana’s Kitchen to Your Table
Sid’s Pizzeria Calabrese was born in the heart of our Nana’s kitchen. Our roots trace back to Cosenza, Italy, a province in the southern region of Calabria. In the late 1950s, our family set sail for America, carrying those traditions with them to Blue Island. Growing up, we spent countless hours alongside our Nana, aunts, and cousins, cooking, gardening, canning, and baking, learning that the best meals are simple, made with love, and meant to be shared.
Today, Sid’s Pizzeria is our way of keeping those memories and flavors alive. We proudly serve Sunday Sauce every day, along with homemade Nana-style pizza pies and slices, classic New York slices, subs, soups, and salads.
Located in the historic Jeben’s Hardware building, Sid’s is honored to share a taste of our family’s story with you, one bite at a time!
